Powder Coating. More than Leds.

In the infinite ways I keep coming up with to lose more time in the day I will soon be offering powder coating. I guess always staying busy means I havent been bored in over 3 years.

Some of you may know I enjoy train horns, so I figured why not start selling them, and reconditioning them.

So after plunking down the money It dawned on me I never really see powder coaters on this site, or many reputable ones.

So this is why its in Evo General cause I going to offer the my services for the Evo crowd. Right now I am setup to do stuff as big as Cyl. heads or blocks. Thats as big as my oven will fit. Until I can plunk down 2000 for a I.R curing machine I think it will do me.

So now I sell Train Horns and all items related. I can powdercoat them in any fashion as well. I just invested 5000 in a bunch of sets of horns, comp. fittings, lines, sand blasting cabinet, and powder coating equipment. I am soon gonna be offering the same services for evo parts. Mmmm powdercoated chome valve covers and exhaust shields. The hell with polishing aluminum. I am done with that, no more sore fingers, constant maintence, or corrision. I will powder everything.

I swiped this picture. I can tell you I have already done a horn with this powder and clear combo, its beautiful. Only problem I have is the course black beauty sand I use for prep is great for everything except taking this powder coat off. The powder coat laughs at it. So anymore I just use leftover metal for testing.

Thank you. Maybe I ought to buy a booth next to the horn guy that sells in carlisle. Show him up with real horns.

Does this mean more colors as well?

And how much do the train horns Weigh / Cost total?

You are not the only one who's been dying to put a train horn on their evo . I swear that one of these days someone on the road is going to push me far enough to buy one that same day!

Luckily, I don't live around the deep south of Florida (MIA). The traffic down there makes you want to kill someone . AWD Motosports should offer one to their client as a "Must-have" item .

So Dafarmer, post the prices for powdercoating as soon as you get ready to start taking orders .

Currently I am using powderx powder.

Find a color ya like, and let me know. http://www.powdermarket.com/index.ph...ewCat&catId=10

I am going to keep my prices decent, I like making money while still having business. Thats the reason you never see me give deals on the LED's. If I went any lower I would be giving the stuff away. Sell for more and I well I wouldnt sell. I am going to go back to making my video, of what I do, what I can offer, and how extremely well this stuff holds up. I am doing this cause I have never really seen any good info from a point of veiw like ours. I know what the stuff is capable of, but so many dont.

3 horn setup with tank, compressor, and everthing else comes in around 60 pounds. But if someone really wants them on a evo they dont care about weight. Guess thats the reason I am the only one yet to ever put them on a Evo. Well that and there size.

If someone wanted real horns I would prob charge for 18 hours labor, and I know how to mount them. Deff. not a plug and play item. A clutch change would be quicker.

Average time to take off, strip, prep and powder and reinstall a single mani would take about 4 hours.

I am going to do a srt-4 mani this weekend, I will have pics up for everyone to see. I am waiting for my new gun to come in sometime this week.
