Insane Speed Billet Transmission Case is DONE!
Finally done. Just have to tap the holes and it's finished. Ready to cut as many as we need. We can cut them for non-hydraulic release bearing also with the side hole. Either way is available.
Price = $3500

so how many pretty (or old and ugly) pennies is this going to set us back?
looks great though, i'd feel bad getting it dirty or abusing it in any way though (i.e. installing it in the car)
i'm guessing the parts that you can still see the cut lines are because it doesn't matter that those aren't polished / finished to a perfectly flat surface and they won't be seen any-how?

We have pretty much seen the cases begin to crack in the 400whp range. Not to say you will experience failure at that level, but the case is fatiguing even at that level, especially in street cars with 17/18 inch drag radials that don't have the sidewall flex and cushion on launches that a slick does. Of the three transmissions we have nuked beyond repair, all have been 660awtq or higher. I'd say as you get into that range, you might want to strongly consider it. Of course, it's no detriment at any power level and looks bad ***!

I'd say too much torque, but there is no such thing. Only substandard driveline components. The blue car is being sold. We are working on the next one for this year's Modified Tuner Shootout......and we may take her to Texas as well.
