VIVID'S dyno results!!!

We finally got some numbers down...

So far the mods go;
Agency Power Turbo Back
MBC
ECUTEK FLASH/ 91 octane.
Stock intake
Stock clutch
Stock turbo and
Stock everything else

I'm really proud of this car, spiking to 23 psi then down to 20 psi by redline, Making 332 corrected power on our Mustang Dyno. Only one run with a full tank of pump gas and stock clutch, first time ever at the track, 12.890 @105.52 MPH. This is a MIVEC cam map, taking 8 months to make, made by Clark Turner (our tuner). This is going to be VIVID'S new mail in ecutek flash. I never once was tuned on the dyno just a flash Clark made!!! And it pulls hard to redline with no hesitation or knocking.

The other dyno graph on here is my old evo 8 with a gt35r, water injection, cams at 26 psi with the power fc. When you click the average power button on the dyno I made 100 more power and 100 ft lbs across the power band... MIVEC once again proves its worth! I will let you all know when you can buy this flash.

Edit for spelling
Edit Typo thanks

Can you please show the boost taper -- 23 psi peak tapering to 20psi at redline (~7200) is very rare without pill mods. How are you getting the system to hold 20 psi at redline? Thanks

Am I missing something here, a 12.89 with those mods on an Evo IX even on 91 is nothing special at all.

Sorry but without the boost data I am skeptical ....I expect you were more like 17 psi at redline....with the MBC in place, the ECU is not controlling boost....I have NEVER seen an MBC only drop 3 psi from peak to redline.....

That said, the numbers and curves look pretty good...so congrats....

Thanks,

But for some info, Boost controling has very little to do with a mbc. It MOSTLY, has to do with timing. Lisa kubo husband, Gary was making 50lbs at a idle for her crazy ecotech. How I asked him? he simply said timing. After that, I found how the heat from the exhaust and when the exhaust came was all how it hit the blades of the turbo and how much and when. So tuning will best control of the boost. However on a side note; this is using a factory mistu gauge... so thats what that gauge says every time I take it to redline.

What are other people puting down, at the track or dyno with those mods? I want to hear how others are doing with the 9's.

The trap speed is unimpressive to say the least.

Ok as for the drag strip, Conditions where very good and the car was running well like normal... How ever the driver myself was not. Its been 9 months since the last time at the track and first time ever launching this car. Stock clutch, full tank, and rusty driver= only an ok time. Im sure if I got more seat time or had my good man in Tucson, Carlos get it down. Im really not that intrested in drag for this car, rather an all around performer.

Evan,

You are a hell of a driver.. I don't see nothing wrong with your times, like you said, it was your first time since 9 month(I was there in Tucson when you ran the Evo 8 and you set the SIR track record for Evos).

I am confident you are going to get your car much faster. You did great, remember, you are in altitude and your car had full tank and all that.

As far is your question about other Evo 9s, well we have seen some 12.1 and 12.2's in Phoenix and Tucson.

Rob Evo 9 12.2@115.6 in Tucson 3"tb, CAI,MBC,02 housing CAI,mail in flash+race gas
Evo9grl Evo 9(Socorro, my lady) 12.2@110 3"tb, CAI,MBC CAI,mail in flash+race gas
David(Evo9MR) 12.1@113 3"tb, CAI,MBC CAI
Mike Evo9 MR 11.7@114 3"tb, CAI,MBC CAI,ECUTEK,intercooler+racegas

Don't listen to the people's negative inputs. You know and I know you can do better.

Carlos
