Am i wrong to be frustrated with MAP

On August 3rd i ordered a Rev2 3.5 intake from MAP. By August 12th i had not heard anything, so i emailed them to see when it would ship. They said the lead time on fabrication is 5-7 days and coating is another 5-7 days. They expected it to ship by the end of the following week which would have been the 26th. I emailed them Tuesday morning again and they said it would ship within 24-48 hours and they would email the tracking. As of now it has not shipped and again i feel like i'm being lied to and i'm frustrated. I'm into the 5th week now on this order. Am i wrong to be frustrated?

Their communication could be better, but when dealing with fabricated goods sometimes there are delays. I'd be frustrated too, but MAP is a great company that's been in this community a long time.

I hope you get it resolved soon, waiting for parts is the worst!

Probably miscommunication between departments on their end. I'm sure most would be frustrated. I've ordered several parts from them and have never had an issue. Then again... it's all been in stock items.

As a new customer i did not know this intake needed to be fabricated, so maybe my fault there. I understood that i would have to wait for coating as that was stated in the ad. I wish they would say please allow 5-7 days for fabrication in the ad though. I feel like i am not getting honest answers with MAP and that makes me frustrated.

I ordered a set of Ohlins R/T's from them a week before this order and that was a good experience. Because of that i went with them on this intake. I'll need to research more on future parts orders.

Looks like a tracking # has been created with 2 day shipping. Thank you MAP for expedited shipping but i wonder if it will ship out today?

MAP drop ships a lot of the items they offer direct from the manufacturer. So unless they happen to have the item you want sitting on a shelf in their shop (which is unlikely), they are stuck waiting on the timeframe of someone else. Still the best place to buy parts IMO.

Did you call them. I've never had issues with there customer service. I also purchased there R2 3.5 intake and want to say it took about two weeks to get.

I only emailed. It always seemed to be one shipping by "The end of the week" according to customer service or VP of operations. Now i know i'll need to call and ask about lead times if i order anything from them again. It is supposed to show up tomorrow. I could be way of base but 5 weeks seems a little excessive for an intake?

^That does seem long. Then again... they did need to fabricate more.

Should have used Buschur, for anyone who thinking about using MAP, you should really consider Buschur

Looks like a quality company from what I've seen. Been eyeing their built short block for a little while now.
