Two interesting questions about SMC
I am very new to this alcohol topic. My car is already tuned and running very good but I wish to know: Can I change the start spraying point after the tune is done. My tuner set the starting point at around 18psi but I want to lower it. Can I?
Would it affect the tunning?
The second question is about my SMC kit. I have a single nozzle number #7 and it works great but I wish to know if I can connect a "Y type"connector and run two nozzles in order to make the mixture more efficient.
Thanks for your help.
Carlos

You could do both but a new tune would be needed. Since you are working on a flash, they typically set the boost a little higher than normal that way when not spraying the car isn't a complete dog. Most people that can switch maps via a UTEC or AEM or whatever start spraying in the 12 to 14 psi range.

Carlos, call Hago to see if they have smaller nozzles. Check with them "if " they have #3 + #4 = #7. The 2 advantage of the setup i see is
1 - you prolly get better atomization with 2 nozzles
2 - incase there is a clog, you will at least still have 1/2 of the DA still going to your engine.

you can change it a little bit, but do not change it alot. my kit was tuned with the start spray at 10 psi and the max at 20 psi. if i turned mine up to 18 psi, my timing would be too aggressive from 10 psi-18 psi so that could cause some detonation. you can go down a little bit, but then the car will be running rich where it was tuned for it.
as far as running 2 nozzles, whats the point??? it works perfectly just the way it is. It wouldnt make anything run more efficient, you'd just have two nozzels. if your staying on stock turbo, just leave it the way it is.
