ok i see the diagram on the q+a post very nice ..
but do i use the dummy load or is that for stock boost solenoid only ?
and the 11 and 12 do i just splice them into 2 diffrent spots on the wire or am actualy cuting it in 1/2 and putts 11 and 12 on each side ...

sorry if my questions are so dumb i just dont wanna screw anything up

thanks again
phil

No, for OE only. DO not use install the dummy load on a third party EBC controller.

Yes, just run two wires to the EBC solenoid. Cut and splice. You might be able to do it under the dash behind the EBC controller.

Pin11/12 is just a relay contact. Make when things are going well, Break contact when thing goes wrong or you switching the DDS3 off. You cannot break anything.

also if my ebc is hooked to the v8box i only get 12pounds of boos ,i even tryd flipn the wires around and still kept me at wastegate....

but my real problems are on the ecu wires i saw #13 for ground but it is not a ground ,,i think my v8box is burnt now ,also 1,2,13,14 is 2 black and silver wire and 2 red and silver wires so there is no green wire,in 1,2,13,14.................

heres a few pics of the harness the 3 wires with blue tap are the one i was hooked too....#2-25-13
2=trigger 25=red12v13=ground wasnt such a good idear cause i ended up with power to the v8box .
its probably destroyed.

so i dont know where the ecu pit out diagram came from but im thinking its way off
cause 13 and 26 and definitly not grounds on my ecu/........

phil, i dont remember which one it is...i think...#2 wire on the last ix i installed was not the color indicated on the ecu pinout. as long as the wire is in the right position...ignore the color

also...on the viii ecu, there are 4 sockets. the ix has 3 sockets

I can only go by what was available dotted around the internet and various contacts.

So far the diagram, seemed to work without problems. Th MR wiring may be different from others.

I have several EVO ECU wiring diagrams but it will help if you could yake some more picture of the back of the EU and I will try to pick the correct drawing and post it up with a BIG heading "MR" only.

You current image posted are good but a straight back of the back of the ECU would be better.

phevo12,

Please check your ECU pinout with the following diagram and let me know if the colour matches:

According to the two iamges above, your wiring is pretty accurate. The ground seemed to have some gold strips on Black sleeve (Pin 13/26).

The red led will only light up when the system is triggered. You can trial trigger the system by unhooking the idc pickup wire (DDS3-pin17) from the EVO ECU. Grounding it will simulate 100% idc.

Is it possible to take a picture similar to the the follow drawing?
