3.5 Year old shurflo pump 100% Meth break down - BIG pix

Here's my Shurflo pump that I got with my Stage 1 Snow Kit. I've been using it on and off for the past 3.5 years, bearings inside were making laboring sounds so I disassembled my pump completely down coil/magnet...

How she has done well...she's definitely due for servicing. Enjoy the pictures...

Good thing I invested in a replacement back up pump. Thanks to TTP

Life without meth is boring...

call shurflo, give them your pump model # and you can get all the internals

did your pump come with a 8 page instruction from shurflo in yellow paper? all the info is on there

I didn't receive the paper work...even if I did...that was 3+ years ago.

where did you have it mounted? If in the engine compartment (vs. trunk), how do you think the atmospheric conditions might have affected service life?

3.5 yrs is a long time, it did it's job. Just wondering if a trunk mounted pump would be expected to last longer or not.

I had it mounted just below my intake...the wear and tear is clearly from meth being used ...location pictures are below:

because it was rusting inside ..wasn't spraying as strong. You can see why it wasn't performing.

Im using the SMC v2 kit and my buddy has the same in his sr20 240sx. we had to replace his pump due to a failure, looked up the part number on the outside of the pump and got one on ebay for 50 bux. turns out its a pump used for the sink in an RV. hahah

Good time to upgrade to our new 250psi pump, you will never need to run dual pumps again.
