Hey guys,
I've got a few scratches on my car that I want to clean up soon. Anyone on here with some bodywork knowledge that can give me some ideas/pointers on how to work these out?

if the metal is exposed even by a small fraction, open the area a bit to have some room to work with not much just some. dont worry if u sand down too much of the surrounding area, self etchin primer will fix that ( explained below ) smooth it out startin at 120g to 320g. untill its smooth with the surrounding area. once that is done then u have to fill it in with 3m prem gold bondo filler once that is dry then sand down the patch like before (120g 220g 320g till its finger smooth).. my dent was a lil wide one lol
then it would be wise to spray some self etching primer over the patched area and any other exposed bare metal area that u might of over sanded. thats what i did mysdelf by accident doh! here is an example

.... mask off the area around the patch only leaving the patched bondoed area exposed that way u dont get overspray.. just 2 light coats of self etchin primer would be fine to cover the repaired area. theirs no need to sand the self etchin primer unless u have a run.. last spray filler primer over the repaired area spray it on good to build it up 3 coats should do it. filler primer will fill in and scratches left over from the prev sanding.. once its all dry u can then wet sand it down with 600g till its smooth...
For the door+qp: since the scrapes from the image i see just for the qp ( dont see the door ) are bad and from what i see is surface rust, sand the damaged area down with 120g to remove and rust. once ur done with the 120g u should have a nice shiny metal exposed. as long as theirs no dents in the panel u can then spray self etxhing primer since u have bare metal exposed and once that is dry spray filler next let it dry completely and wetsand with 600g
since the bumper both front and rear isnt metal and from what i see is just scratches sand it down till its smooth and use filler primer over it and build it up with 2-3 coats. let each coat suffic time to dry before you lay coats 2 and 3.. few mins apart should be fine.. once its compltly dry then wetsand it again with 600g till its smooth
once your all done u can then spray real primer on and paint and clear the job u just done
i used same process to repair my roof except havent painted it yet, im working on my trunk atm see here for more detailed info -> (http://4g9xrally.wordpress.com/) my site still a wip lol
