if you didn't move the actual housing the light shouldn't be misaligned unless you got some cheapo bulbs

i would make sure that you got it in the socket seated correctly.. my friend did that once and it was pointing skyward, it wasn't in the socket all the way

I don't have a Lancer (yet) but shouldn't there be some adjusting screws around the outside of the headlight bodies?

I was thumbing through the owners manual today and in the headlight section they talk about adjusting the headlights. Check it out and see if it's any help to you.

ha ha, I do have a Lancer now (I've had it for about 4 hours as of this writing) but I haven't looked for the adjusting screws yet...

I have the same problem...switched my bulbs to the silverstars and everyone tells me my right headlight looks less bright, I think it's just out of alignment. So hard to get your hand down in there to see if it's seated properly. When you look at the reflection off of another car it does look lighter. But doesn't seem to be so off that it effect's night driving. That's why I don't think it's the actual bulb, just distorted a bit (not seated perfectly flush). Think I'll take it to the dealer just to see if they can tell (they can tear up their hand trying to get in there).

hey thank you guys for replying with these tips. i just basically went and played around with the light bulbs a little more. im guessing it wasnt seated properly. i took them all the way and put them back in and made sure that they were all the way in. they aligned pretty much right on. thanks again.

Good to hear, it's something the rest of us should keep in mind if/when we change lights in the future.
