Projectors.

I'm currently looking around for any company willing to make them.

My first Preference is RRM if they wanted to get in the Headlight/Taillight shebang... But i'm doubting..

So i'm talking to any company and local shop possible.. i know 2 local shops that can do it.. one i trust.

I'll see how much it'll run and if i can round up enough people ..

THIS IS NOT A GROUP BUY!.

I'm just gauging interest. I want to get projecters (not necesarily halo's or angel eyes which i'm still keen on and i know how to do that myself.) but we'll see the prices and then see where to go from there

Sorry EvoM ralliart guys..

If anyone does or can make prototype sketches (preferably 1024x768 or 1280x1024 resolution for detail) so i can analyze the designs and work with them.. i'll be trying to make a few designs myself but i'm not a master artist.

Also the reason i am pushing for this is I want HID's and I want to make projectors to save having to make a glare shield... plus they're sexy.

With work and school i took a Hiatus from working on trying to get products made for aftermarket parts. I probably will do another complete roundabout here in august.

Thanks,

DeeJay.

yea,

I'm just looking for designs/making them to keep glare down for other drivers and keep them focused properly ... while also the housing should still be able to use stock bulbs.

I had projector headlights on my old eclipse, THEY SUCK. Yeah they may look cool but dont plan on seeing for crap if its raining or snowing at night. You literally cant see 5 feet in front of you, mainly due to the fact that the bulbs that have to be put in there are H3's (fog light bulbs). So Imagine trying to drive with only your fog lights. Not recommended.

You mean even with Projecters i can't get a set of HID's low and High beams to fit in there? Thats just retarded. Is that only that companies design or is that the standard. I don't see how you "Have" to use a fog light bulb.

Not all companies make you put H3's in them, APC made a dual projector for the eclipse which took the standard bulbs. But that is just what I heard, not sure if its true or not. But every projector that I'VE seen has implemented H3's.

if you think about it..

a projector is ROUND.. so if there is glare from the HIDs.. it will be glare all around.. it's worst than using your stock reflectors, which at least have a horitonal cut off

They're should be a way to use your fogs as DTL's and then just get a HID kit.

If you just want brighter headlights and stronger highbeams, is this the best way to go? Should I just go out and buy different bulbs or something?

from what i've read about the stock Ralliart headlights, they're already ready for HID's since it's the same housing as the Japan models, which have HID's as an option from the factory. I even got them to get me part numbers on the ballasts and everything. it was insano expensive which is why i didn't do it, but basically the stock headlight housings are set up for HID, meaning there won't be any need for a glare sheild or whatever you wanna call it.

werd.

so you telling me that the part #s from the HID housings match the part # from our housings?

9007 housing are notorious for HID retrofits.. in order for them to make it work for a normal bulb, they basically make it not workable for HIDs.. so if it IS the same part #, then they have performed a miracle
