Well, I have a Perrin "shorty" which is all aluminum, and noticed that locally I don't have a prob with stations, however, I can't receive a station as far out of San Diego as I used to. It does look way better though, getting rid of that RC look.

Personally I prefer the Element antenna over the s2k one. Both have a gap but the element antenna looks a lil better in my opinion.
I have the element on my car and I still pick up every station no problem.

Intresting my S2K one never looked like that at all maybe mine wasn't S2K I know it was honda though and it was ****. I got the perrin one and it lines up nice and looks nice.
