hood scoop question

hey I'm new to the forum but I've been doing a lot reading and was wondering if anyone has put a hoodscoop/ cowl induct on their hood and actually made it look good? I havent seen a single picture with one on this forum of any hood scoops. Cheers!

looks cool but definitely isnt functional because of the size... anyone know if putting a certain sized scoop at a certain pressure point can actually be at least semifunctional on the RA?

This is the only picture I've seen of a lancer with a cowl hood... doesnt look that bad

RRM carbon fiber hood is everything you need. Looks good. 20lbs less than stock. Is functionally vented in 2 spots, and has a small ram air slot DIRECTLY where your intake is. 100% functional in every aspect of the word.. Should buy that, since it looks so nice, or at least copy its design, if your on a budget build. Heat rises. The vent is RIGHT where your exhaust manifold is. It even comes with a cover, so you can block the vent, to keep rain out. Or leave it uncovered and be completly open. Hot air goes out, while air is ram'd into the intake.

Agreed leave the scoops to the WRX's. I like the evo style vents on the RRM hoods and what not.

Is this the VIS hood?

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

NVM I actually read the posts. That would be an OG RRM CF Hood?

I have this hood and used a dremel to cut the vents out and put mesh there. You can actually see the heat coming out of the vents when stopped. Everyone that sees it thinks it came with the vents cut out already.
