Lancer Ralliart 2006 to evo IX body kit
Hi, my friend Joseph is working on this build and I will be posting the pictures of the status of this build
This is a long history, maybe you are thinking why don't just buy an EVO IX, but here in Mexico we have a big issue, Mitsubishi only sent 100 EVOs IX to the country on 2006, then they are very dificult to find and they are very expensive (we never received EVOs VIII too), in my case I'm a lucky man because I could buy one of those 100 but my friend Joseph could not get it, he always say me: "I buy your evo", but I always say: sorry is not for sale, , then Joseph decided to build his Lancer ralliart with the EVO body kit and I helped him to check the details between the both chasis.
The first step is the body kit and the wheels, he bought wide front fenders (20mm+ front, 35mm+ rear) to fit Battle wheels 18x9.5 +15offset with 265-35-18 tires.
Second step is Install T3T4 turbo kit he wants 350 hps!
Third step is buy Recaro seats and Brembo brakes to complete the build.
For now the first step is on going and here are the pictures, I will add more on the week depending of the work on that.

About rear fenders, the plan is install a wide quater panels that are made for the Lancer Evo IX original body (35mm+), and they will be used as base for the evo tailights, I will post the pics of this when it is installed on the car, for now the front is being detailed to fit the JDM headlights and the bumper because the Ralliart chasis is little different in some points, I will post more pics when the front is completed ,

Some points to consider on this front build:
1.- The oem hood hinges of the Lancer 2004-2006 are different then when we
installed the EVO IX hood it did not fit correctly, then we bought used ones
from a 2002 lancer ES model and all was good.
2.- To fit the headlights the SRS sensor airbags had to be removed and relocated
3.- The part that close the hood had to be modified because the EVO hood has
in other way the lock
4.- Front impact bars need to be replace them from EVO IX oem one to fit the EVO
bumper and inter-cooler(you can leave it without the bar if you want)
5.- The EVO headlight's connectors are not compatible with oem ones is
necessary go to the dealer to install the conversion cables.
6.- Also to fit headlights you need to install custom resistant pins.
