Have you inspected the throttle body? If I remember correctly you have your PCV lines hosed up the "factory" way. When you turbo your car you can get blowby and get more oil residue in your intake. This can lead to gunk build up in the intake manifold and throttle body. Would be worth taking a look at in my opinion.
The other option I can think of is removing and inspecting your EGR. If it is gunked up or stuck open it can cause some weird issues.

Other than reflashing it, this seems promising for it describes what I'm experiencing, especially the "increased fuel consumption"! I'm sucking fuel like an elephant! (https://www.reference.com/vehicles/d...9f745bd7f46db#)
It was so badly flooded last night, after a Starbucks stop, that I had to sit in the parking lot for about fifteen minutes and barely got it started. Got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on the parkway today, and the car died twice while sitting...had to two foot drive to keep the idle up. It's weird, you'll be driving along, let up on the throttle, and DEAD, car is coasting powerless.
Back to the MAP...was reading the Omni MAP's have a history of going bad. If I don't find a laptop first, I think I'll get another 3 bar MAP and replace it...again, my fuel consumption is the worst (most) it's ever been!

Well, I decided to change the o-ring on the MAP sensor snd bought two, one thin and one thicker. I try the thin one and it fits, but I wonder if the thicker one will go. I can't get it to slide in by hand, so I use the mounting bolts to help it in...wrong decision, SNAP, I busted it. Well, I need a new MAP now whether it's the culprit or not!

I'm finding that replacing the whole arm is dirt cheap but comes with the OEM bushing? Looking for a replacement that comes with polyurethane bushings. Did i ignore the rep at AutoZone when he said one of the manufacturers listed on his screen came with polyurethane bushings? I'll have to go back/call and ask again...

...and feel they will also fit the 2004 sportback/hatchback/wagon model as well.
What is body type, "CG/CH/CS"?
