Are you kidding me? I told you several times that its street racing and you continue to post up links to the same videos , do it again in anyway shape or form and you will will get the ban hammer.

2004 Lancer Sportback Ralliart Turbo RESSURECTED!

"Honey, I'm home!"

I was told heat was going to be an issue but I didn't heed the advice completely. So, I'm trying to play catch up before I damage anything else:

This alone makes a heck of a difference.

welcome back brother!!!

So how are you liking it?

And do I see a vented hood in your near future? Buying one or going custom like RalliartN?

#1 Happy to see you back. I thought they can't be serious with a ban right at the end.

#2 Man, it sucks that turbo isn't water cooled. Still on OEM radiator? I'd suggest going to a bigger or half size but it looks like you guys have limited space and I can't see the rest of your engine bay.

Us Lancer guys are running an Evo dual core radiator. Nice n cool over here.

If ANYTHING, I need a bigger GAS TANK!

Liking it? LOVING it! The high pitched whirring when it spools, and the hollow swooshing of the recirc valve is addicting...not to mention the extra power and extra quickness pushing you back into your seat! I feel like a kid again with the newest, greatest toy, lol!

Throughout the build I was looking at how to vent my OEM Hood, CF Hoods, etc., etc. I'm still leaning towards keeping the OEM and customizing it with vents, ie; a Naca vent over the air filter to start, and will go from there. I just got word that there's a guy in Vineland, NJ that does custom hoods...I'll have to check him out too.

This isn't the first time that i got put on "time out," nor will it be the last.

Lesson learned on this turbo purchase. I know now what not to buy next time. The engine itself is not running hot, it's the engine compartment that's HOT. The engine thermostat is running at normal temperature. That wrap was not only relatively cheap but made a significant difference. I have literally placed four fingers on the manifold after running all day and not got burned. I've already inadvertantly touched the manifold before it was wrapped while messing with my alternator and had scalded skin IMMEDIATELY. That thing is 20 lbs of stainless steel!

Oh, I had a small incident while wrapping the manifold...

I purchased a box knife along with the heat wrap and while trying to adjust the blade, the knife slipped through my hands, cutting through the glove, and through my middle knuckle. I could swear I felt bone! I flagged a Hispanic guy down that was walking by and said, " Ayudame por favor!" I pressed my thumb over the flap while he wrapped my finger with a 2x2 and a gauze wrap that I kept in my glove compartment. Stupid or what?!
