Hmm, how did they machine it? Did they CNC it or are they all hand port mached? Just an academic question really. Did they use the (*smacks head trying to remember the name*)... Hydrostatic abrasive material process to smooth out any irregularities in the runners like blk-majik wanted to do awhile ago? Help me out guys... It's going to bug the p*ss out of me untill I remember the name of that process. Either way, RRM isn't saying how it's better other than port matching and powder coating. Does anyone know what it's flowing now vs stock?

extrude hone is the name. i doubt they used the process, since its pantanted and the only way to get it done is to send the part ot Irwin, PA and have them do it on the their equiptment. If it were done, they would advertise it as such. Extrude Hone is a very well know and respected name in the racing and engineering sceen, so attaching to something gives it value.
Also, my guess is that it was hand ported. It doesnt make sense to hire a local machine shop to CNC mill their 1 core, then have them do the1 core again a month later. usually these things are only affordable in larger quantities. they have scheduling problems that would make this difficult. woud also make the product cost more. If it where otherwise, again, that would have been stated. One thing i have noticed with RRM is that if they didnt do something the best way, they wont mention it and take the secret to the grave

reimundo dyno the car so we know it works, dont use the infamous butt dyno....
imho, a lot of air in with no more fuel (unless you have a piggy) imo is a little waste of cash untill you maange your fuel...

Thanks Blk, I knew you'd remember! It was driving me insane to the point where I started digging up old car articles trying to remember what it was called. I'm just worried about getting something that's ported.... just to say it's ported! Hell I can port a top fuel dragster head if I can lay my hands on one! That doesn't guarantee overall performance, in fact I'd probably ruin the TF head with my shaky hands. RRM could post flow bench numbers for intake and exhaust without "giving up" any secrets as to the how or where they shaved off some aluminum. It's alot easier to say "3 angle valve job" than to actually DO one for crying out loud!
