Steering wheel shakes!!

I have been having a small problem recently. Ever since i put on my axelback exhaust, my steering wheel shakes a lot whenever i go over 80 mph, you guys know anything that can stop this?

Don't see how the axel-back would have anything to do with it... First check the balance of the tires/wheels and work from there.

Either balance or you need new tires completely. Loss of traction will cause shaking at high speeds.

There's NO WAY your exhaust is making your steering wheel shake at 80mph. 20,000 miles is probably half the life of those tires, it's not like they're still new. Just get your tires balanced and be done with it.

But then again, as you know, our stock tires are crap and if you run them hard you can easily run down all the traction on them. So new tires is a definate possiblity. Go check your tread wear. I bet you need new tires AND an alignment.

like everyone has said: rotate and balance. This should be done anywhere between 10-15k miles to squeeze all the life you can from your tires.
Check your tire pressures too.....should all be about 32 psi if I am not mistaken.

You probably don't need an alignment unless the car is pulling or if you have uneven tire wear (again....if tire pressures are correct).

Now that you guys mention it, im almost positive all i need is a new rotation and a balance. Its not the tread, i dont peel out or take hard turns or anything to make them worn out and its not like it pulls or slips, so i dont think its new tires or alignment. Like i said, i only have 20k miles and i take great care of my car.

Check your tie rod ends, too, just to be sure.
