If the stiffer motor mounts don't solve my wheel hop problems, I'll look into getting this one. It seems the other one is a science fair version of this one anyways I was really looking forward to an oil dampened version too!

stiffer motor mounts will actually work BETTER than this, however this is a lot easier to install.

My damper has arrived, will pick it up at the post office tomorrow, so it took 16 days from the time the order was placed, not that bad.

If the snow melts before the weekend I'll be able to say exactly how well the mounts from deyeme work (less n2o). Come on Spring!

so, this damper doesnt quite fit, I think it's a manufacturing error but here are some pics, you tell me if I'm doing something I dont see. I know I can make it work but I need a longer bolt, and a longer center piece....

Do you think it'll work the same if I cut the center metal space piece like a half inch shorter, than spun the second bracket on the damper around?

the thing is that if you put in a longer bolt you will need a longer middle 'thingy' bolt cover thing...

or you might want to buy the longer bolt and another bushing

I had the same problem with mine, I made it fit somehow, placing the front part first, then the back. That and rocking the engine a bit until I had enough clearance. It made the car perfect for AutoX, the engine still moves, but not as much, only 33 percent of what it used to move. To me its a good mod. Im even replacing the bushings with harder custom ones for racing days and weekends

I attached a pic of the probelm, take off the center linkage and disasemble it and make the end L joint face the other way and the hole will lign up. i had the same problem and it was fixed by doing that.

nah, you guys are wrong, if you turn the L-Joint then it's a half inch to far forward. I cut a half inch out of the center black tube piece, then turned the L-Joint and it lined up. But looking at the pictures, I notice mine is on much more of an angle. from the strut brace to the engine brace, the bolt is not straight.

So I got it installed and it does work really good, tightens it up. But I still think they sent me the wrong piece, but it seems to work fine, I've send the company an email with pictures too, so i'll see what they say.
