More work than it sounds but yest you can save a lot of money doing this, heck for the 10gs he is gonna spend he can do the awd swap... or give me the money and I can complete mine :-)

haha, thanks for the laughs, but ive skimmed through diavlo's AWD conversion thread, thats what got me wanting to modify my car, it was inspiring seeing someone do/build something that was completely un-necessary. i want an evo, but i'd rather build my own version, the pride ya get from building your own stuff is worth more to me than having the fastest car around, my car is fun, and takin it to the next level will be even more fun. plus how many AWD 250hp+ RA's do ya see everyday?

EDIT: but hey, this is gonna take a long time to get started/completed, and by that time it may be better for me to buy an evo, but the cheapest one around here that ive found was 16k so unless prices go down in the near future im gonna stick with my RA

Take a look into this

At the bottom another member talks about the complications with putting the evo engine in.

Last I checked the empty/bare 4G63b block is $1600 new and it doesn't "bolt" into a ralliart with just a tranny mod.
