strange noise while driving

I have a 2006 Ralli Art with almost 64,000 miles, and stock clutch.

The car is making strange noise just while I'm driving and it goes away completely if I press and hold the clutch or if the car is in neutral.

When I accelerate the sound is louder and faster. I think that is the clutch but I don't know about transmissions.

PLEASE HELP

This is going to be funny is like rrrrrruuuuu rrrrr and actually the sound starts just when it passes 2,000 RPM every single time, and as soon I press the clutch I goes away until I release the clutch

Is hard to describe, but any ways I will have to check the valve lash because I never adjust it before.

It's the throw out bearing, it's been like that on mine or 10k+ it's annoying but drivable. The part is like 50 bucks but the install is like 4+ hours which is why I haven't changed mine. I'm getting lazy and bored lately, it's spring break in Miami so every ethnic diversity is here it sounds cool , but trust me it's anything but.

Indeed, Throw out bearing is on its way out. Mine was soo far gone by the time I got around to doing the clutch job, that it wore a notch in the pressure plate "fingers" lmao

So I think that is time for a new clutch kit then. Almost 64,000 miles with the stock one plus when I was in Puerto Rico I was driving in stop and go traffic every day for like 2 hours during 5 years

well i'm not surprised...the crappy part is that the clutch probably still has some life left, but if you replace the bearing you might as well do the clutch...my throw out bearing came out in several pieces...and yeah the "fingers" on my pressure plate were cut pretty deep.

Well I'm looking so far at Clutch Masters and Exedy, and not sure if get a new flywheel too.

I called Clutch Masters and they told me $274.06 for an OEM replacement kit. Lets see Exedy price.

I went with the Exedy. I like it. Religively cheap compared to the others too. It grabs pretty well. Just break it in properly...no matter what clutch you go with.

Do you have any problems with the master cylinder? I was told that if we don't use the OEM pressure plate is just matter of time to damage the master cylinder.

Exedy's OE replacement i think is actually OEM...when you pull your stock clutch out, it says Exedy on it and is also stamped with a mitsubishi part number...

base your choice of clutch on your short term power power goals, if none, then just get OEM.

that won't make any noticeable power, a stock clutch will be fine...

Yeah, stock clutch can handle intake/header/exhaust/tune. PM me if you want to see what we can do for you on the price.
