Mobil 1 Synthetic oil
Hey everyone.... Has anyone changed their oil yet? I was wondering what you or the dealership used for your 04 Ralliart? I changed my Ralliart oil with Mobil 1 00w20 synthetic. The Mitsubishi dealership recommended it to me. Has anyone else used this (00w20)?

Do you mean the brand.... Mobil 1? I'm refering to the number 00w20. Let me know. I just find the number odd.

I realize what the numbers are..... thanks anyway. What I really want to know is if any other Ralliart owners were told the same thing by their dealership. The stock recommended is 5w20 according to the manual. Just curious that's all.... can't even find that oil (00w20) in the stores...in Toronto, Canada

I don't see why you couldn't use it, it would be better especially if you live in a really cold place. I don't know how cold it gets where you are in Canada but if the dealership said it's ok it should be fine.

00 is probably a recommend for extreme cold, such as in your area this time of year.
as far as running synthetic, there are many many debates on it. i personally think it might help the engine in the long run, but doubt you'll see any performance at all.

I'm doing the oil this weekend and I'm switching it to synthetic. I'm also going to put Lucas Oil Stabilizer in it too. This is the same combination I use in my Turbo Talon.

I used to use Lucas oil stabilizer with regular oil in my last car and my Acura turbo. How many km's did you put on with this combo? Did you find a big benefit with this combo? Did your Talon run better?

I swapped one quart of regular oil with the Lucas oil. My car seemed to run smoother, and also it helped out in raising my oil pressure, a lot of DSM owners that I know use it. I use it at every oil, I also used it in my transmission and it helped out in making shifting a lot easier.

i made the switch about a week ago to synthetic...i LOVE it.....with that an my exhaust getting done the same day i noticed a big difference...the main difference with the synthetic is my engine warms up much faster and drives a LOT smoother cold...
