Intake Manifold Porting

Been a long time since I have been around here. Actually drive an Outlander but the few things I have done were based on information from this RA section. Anyways quite a long time ago I did the Eclipse GT TB swap but I never did anything to the intake manifold, and honestly with the RRM UDP having been installed quite a time prior to the TB swap I really didn't notice it. Recently I decided to pick up a spare intake manifold and put my dremel to work and ported this spare intake manifold. Re-reading the TB swap thread there are comments about the IM being 62mm opening but it measured to 60mm for me.

Anyways I cut it open so the initial section in the flange is now a full 65mm and the smallest cross section in the short distance to the main chamber I opened to 63mm. Now I'd like to open it all the way to 65mm in this short section but I have concerns about how much material is safe to remove and how this the walls need to be in this section before it could potentially become an issue.

First practiced polishing on a spare 4G69 TB.

Before starting any work on the IM

This is the area i'm concerned about removing too much material from.
