Stuck Shifter
I was driving my 06 Ralliart around and I noticed that is is really stiff to shift gears left and right from neutral but is fine going forwards and back (1-2, 3-4) but (once again) going left and right in neutral is extremely stiff. i think it may be the return spring or bushings but some friends think its the linkage itself. any advice?

Hey Cranswick! I've got three same problem too. Shifting from 2nd to 3rd is a *****. Hell when I messed up my shoulder I had to shift with my left hand just to get it into 5th.
Can u expand on that a little? Part number?
Also... just got my 06' up and running again. Had it up on blocks in Mudder's garage for a good 4 years I'd say. Lol

check out my video on youtube, it's called f5m42 disassembly, or something like that...same username...in the video I explain how to fix the sticky shifter phenomenon...if it's not just sticky (as in not returning to center on its own), and it's actually difficult to change gears, it could be the plastic shoe (sort of saddle shaped) on the control lever...
i'm at work so I can't pull part numbers, link my video, or post a parts diagram...sorry
