Slave cylinder

ItS been 4 yr I have posted here, back then the slave cylinder of my 04 turbo RA gave out. The car been in the garage since then. Father in law kept turn it on till the clutch & pressure plate broke. Due to the fork that the slave cylinder moves to engauge the clutch, can out and rip everything up. The clutch & pressure plate only had 800 miles on it. So got every done. Except the slave cylinder.

I hear there aftermarket slave & that a evo slave will work, which one to get & which brand to get?

Hey man! I just saw your "BEAST" on that link in your signature and your car really IS a BEAST! Nice ride man! Sorry I just thought I'd say a few words...

Oh and by the way... WELCOME BACK :)

Not sure on the slave but the evo 8 master would work..

Jokiesmurf Jul 17, 2012 04:49 PM

the drivetrain section is for N/A. Tring to get a slave that can hold due to turbo

So far I have 4 slave to look
1)Exedy part# sc844
2)Sachs part# sh6176
3)Brute Power part# 900066
4)BECK/ARNLEY Part #0729600

I would go with the exedy or oem slave. I would think that the evo 8-9 slave would work but im not 100% Also look at your clutch master cylinder for any leaks inside or outside. If its bad replace it with an evo 8-9 cmc as they are stronger.

it makes no difference whether you're turbocharged or not, a slave cylinder has nothing to do with forced induction, this IS in the wrong section...but anyhow, what pressure plate are you currently using, it looks pretty stiff, maybe a 2600? but you should go with lanzer's suggestion of the Evo 8/9 CMC, and OEM slave...

RacerX-Ralliart Jul 18, 2012 11:14 AM

Yea there's a whole write up about the slave and master.. the master has a lot of spaces for air to get trapped

Jokiesmurf Jul 18, 2012 03:35 PM

Well it say no force induction & to post & then hear this isthe wrong section, I posted there. So I don't win. Ok my excuse is that it been 4 years since I posted so I messed up.

It was the ACT stage 1 with the pressure plate it came with.
I will check & let you know.

Jokiesmurf Jul 18, 2012 03:36 PM

That thing is gussing fluid.

RacerX-Ralliart Jul 18, 2012 05:47 PM

I think it just means no topics about forced induction.. Its been moved so don't worry... And I was just trying to inform you about the master not saying yours has air

Guys let's give the guy a break he's an original owner and not to mention turbo'd. He's been gone a while and has lost touch with the forum a bit, so let's drop the whole thread placement talk and try to help him out with the imortant stuff so we can see pics/vids of The Beast. :mitsu:  :mitsu:

Mastwr is good. I bleed the line due to me putting in the braided clutch line. And the clutch pedal was hard, I was like yes. Them I press it to put it in gear & my friend face got splater with fluid.

The slaves cylinder I posted are in order from least $ to more, the Exedy is the cheapest @ $12 & beck is $40
My mentality is less $ worst part, but Exedy is a good company.

I get paid tomorrow looking forward to get my baby back on the road.

RacerX-Ralliart Jul 19, 2012 10:38 AM

I think I got the brute force one from O reilys for like 15 bucks been for 6 months no problems

CrAnSwIcK Jul 19, 2012 02:47 PM

i've had an ACT stage 1 clutch for like over 50,000km and have had noproblems at all with stock clutch line, turbocharged and lots of track time...i think the braided lines directly connected are causing added stress on the piston seals in the clutch cylinders...

Jokiesmurf Jul 20, 2012 08:49 AM

I just added the clutch line before it was the stock line. So hopefully with the exedy slave ( which I order yesterday) and lesser clutch as before it had a stage 4,4 puck clutch downgraded to stage 1. Wish me luck.
