Hey guys!!!


i was just wondering if a EVO VII or EVO VIII trunk fit on the RA because persoanlly i dont like the whole license plate being on the trunk ... like it more on the bumper so i was wondering i replace it with a EVO VII or a EVO VIII ( if it fits ) it would solve the problem and i can go ahead and buy the RA and get rid of my god dam civic Si-R

i'm pretty sure it won't fit...without modification at least. the evo's trunk is more squared at the bottom then the RA's is. i'm not sure if there are any more differences but i know that's one for sure. hope that helps.

 

Evo trunks won't fit 04 or newer Lancers, only the older body style. The new Lancer body style is different and is not the base for the Evo VIII body. Maybe if you wait for the Evo IX to come out.

 

You DON'T like the license plate on the trunk? I find that it gives it a more sporty/less econobox look on the trunk. But to each his own, I wouldn't let that make your decision.

Since the RA shares most body parts with the 2003 base Lancer, I'd say you should look at that model's trunk instead ot the Evo's. The '03 Lancer had the license plate holder in the bumper...

I'm not 100% sure it's a fit, but I'd say it's your best guess...

No, the evo8 and o2-o3 lancer es, ls, oz trunk will not fit our o4+ es, ls, oz, ralli-art. Unless your going to modified it to fit, anything is possible, but for an actually bolt on, no. I have a project in mind for the 04+ trunk, because I too hate that stupid license plate on the back.

Kareem, i need to holla @ you, I have a DIY o4 trunk adaptation Ill let you ralli-art owners know how it goes.

I gotta agree with the captain, the license plate looks much better on the trunk

I am curious to see what you guys come up with though. If you can modify it so the license plate is back on the bumper and looks professionally done, I'll be pretty impressed.
