7G's in Damage and Overnight Parts from Japan
Well here is my story. I was driving to school a week or so ago. Nothing out of the ordinary. I wasn't in a hurry and I wasn't driving any faster or slower than any other rat in the race. I began to approach a large intersection. It consists of a major 4 lane divided state highway that crosses a major 4 lane state road with a turn lane. I was on the state road and I was going to cross the divided highway.
Leading the traffic was a Toyota Camery, followed by an F-150, and then followed by me. A young black female was driving the Camery. Emphasis on young. As she began to cross the intersection, she remembered that she actually need to go left. Instead of finding a place to turn arround after crossing the highway, she stands on the brake pedal and comes to a complete stop in the intersection from 50 mph. The truck barely had time to stand on his brakes. Through the natural course of human reaction time, I had no time to react. I checked the lane next to me only to find a Semi-truck. The turn lane to the left of me was loaded too. The end result was me going under the truck. The dumb b*tch in the Camery was never touched and behind me there was a Volvo turned sideways. She gets out of the car, smiles, says sorry, and then speeds off.
Several cars actually turned arround and came back to the wreck after seeing the stupidity that was displayed. This included the Semi that had front row seats. Everyone talked to the officer but the girl was gone. Depite everyone's statements, the stupid pig issued a ticket for following to close. Cops like this just need to suffocate on a doughnut. Justice, uhm... yeah... right...
The estimate for the car was $6,850. So far, all the repairs have been completed. The only thing missing is the wireing harness. It was damaged in the wreck. The only problem stems from the fact that there isn't one in America right now. The body shop has to order it from Japan. Unfortunately, it can't be overnighted like in Fast and the Furious. I won't see my baby until after thanksgiving. After all the damage, I'm considering selling the car after I see what the final condition is. I may just stop being a cheapo and get the EVO MR.
As far as the damage to me. I went under the 4x4. The bumper was never touched. The airbags did not deploy. My seatbelt failed to lock. My head bounced off the steering wheel. I will live, but that stupid f*cking c*nt won't if I ever see her again. The irony is the fact that my health insurance expired right before the accident. Lucky me.
Insurrance Deductable: $1000
Ticket from a Pig: $155
Ever finding that ho and choking her to death: Priceless
I have attached a picture of the vessel that's going to take three weeks to get my part over from Japan.
If your not upside down on your ralliart, i say get a used evo. Just remember to stay a little further back from people when it gets cold out side. I'm not saying you did anything wrong, i'm just saying this **** happens and you know who's gonna get screwed.
damn, tough luck man. i hope it all comes together well in the end. if justice is poetic, maybe that b*tch will run a light and hit the pig who gave you the ticket, sending them both off a bridge or something =)
7g in damages and overnight parts from Japan..First think I thought of was Fast and Furious, and you said it yourself..haha..But anyway...Sorry to hear. Ive been in 2 accidents already..Im starting to think my Ralliart is haunted.
Yea i know how you feel.. Except my town don't believe in proper street lighting in the morning and cleaning up bad road conditions.. It's costing me 6900$ in repairs to my front bumper.. just by going 20 mph into a telephone pole when i hit the wet leaves... The funny thing is, the next day i biked past the place and they cleaned it all up.. perfectly dry.
I feel for ya..
I feel for ya..
I am sorry, but you were following too closely. The cop did nothing wrong, if you had not been following too close you would not have any damage to your car. It is ridiculous when people blame the cop and all the other people around them, instead of really figuring out where the blame should lie. If the F-150 had enough time to stop, surely a brand new sport compact should have had time to stop. It sucks for your damage, but maybe you should just stay further away from the person in front of you.

I hate to say it, but, you're at fault as much as the girl is. She should not have stopped short, but you should have been far enough behind the truck that if he stopped on a dime in an instant, you could do the same. Obviously either your reactions were too delayed or you weren't far enough behind the truck to come down from 50mph in time.... which is the law. Cops suck though, they should be more forgiving. Good luck with your insurance.

I drive in Chicago rush hour everyday... I've almost been in countless accidents... Doesn't matter how close you follow, if it chains down like that you'll never have a chance!!!
Again, hope everything works out!!!

Sorry, but he, and I, are 100% right. I don't care if you were 3, 5, 30 car lengths being the F-150... there is no law that specifies the number of car lengths. The law simply states that you need to be far enough back so that if the car in front of you were to INSTANTLY stop, like hit a wall, you have enough space to completely stop before ramming them.
Sometimes this distance is 2 cars, sometimes it's 5, sometimes it's 10... different speeds and conditions dictate different following distances. Obviously the F150 was able to stop in time... why weren't you? Obviously the answer is because you were too close.
It doesn't matter if "everyone in atlanta" follows 3 car lenghts... that's fine.... it still doesn't change the fact that you should have been far enough back to stop when that F150 locked it's brakes...... plain and simple... you can't argue with facts.

To each his own. I'm not going to aurgue. Again, you both weren't there. However, you both seem to know everything, so I'll just leave it at that. The law is written by men and not God. As such it will never be perfect or determine absolute justice. If someone goes screaming through a parking lot at 80 mph and you start to back up. The resulting collision would still be your fault. Go ahead and defend the pig. The sh*t on your nose from kissing his rear will do nothing for you. Tell me how he served or protected anyone. He didn't, he stuffed his pockets. I have enough to deal with besides you guys. This will be my last post in this particular discussion.
sorry about the RA. I know how Atl driving is. They got some straight up crackheads driving on the streets. I think I have had to avoid about 6 bad crashes in October because people were just being stupid. Yeah pigs do suck and if you are young they tend to stick you with everything even though it may not be your fault. Hope it gets better though.
Kinda funny how people on the outside looking in are so quick to judge. Throw them in the middle, and suddenly their tunes change. And cops wonder why they have such a sh*tty rep...
That sucks about your car, sorry to hear it man.
