S&S Sub x 2?

A friend offered to give me her S&S Sub after she redid the sound system. I already have the S&S system, but I was thinking of putting it on the other side. I know the bolts are in the wronge place, but I can take off the mountings and just put them in the right place on the plastic casing (or put new ones on). anyone try this yet? will the amp be able to power them both? if it works, I need PDX to make me a new strut bar to fit on both sides

I doubt you could do it. The stock amp won't be able to power two subs (wrong impedence plus not enough juice). I don't know what the impedence is on the S&S sub, but I doubt it'd run off an aftermarket amp without blowing.

Chucko66 tried running his S&S sub with an aftermarket amp, and ended up blowing it. So don't try it!!

If I remember right he ran his new amp off of his old one in a series and that is why that happend. He didn't know how to hook it up right.

Anybody know the impedence and power rating of the stock subwoofer? That would be a big help in figuring out this problem.

2 stock amps and two stock subs should not be a problem if run correctly.

My guestimation on the stock sub is 2 ohms and 200 peak watts.
