someone told me that there is a video of the RA racing a spec on the internet. does anyone know about this?

OMG i just went to that board and they are a bit crazy. They all think that the spec-v would be faster than the RA . Ive never raced one but i always though, because of the several reviews ive read that put the RA ahead almost everytime, that we could take em. So i dont know why they think that. Has anybody here lost to one of em.

 

Well, you also have to remember that these guys favor the Spec-V over the RA... "We're all about the 2002+ SE-R!"

 

, yeah... it's crazy over there. Most of them don't realize we dyno a tad bit higher than them (stock vs. stock) and we run a very similar 0-60 and 1/4th. Just like there car, our car responds to mods very well, but ive witness a RA take a specV and the specV owner take the RA back, that's how close they are.

 

Odd, I test drove a spec v (before my chin splints caught up with me, which is why i can only drive auto) and i thought it was a lot more powerful than the RA. Oh well, maybe it was just me.

 

they are identical.... .2 seconds on the car can easily be swayed by the driver behind the wheel. you could beat one at the drags, then the very same one could beat you, and it would all be because of driver ability. the RA looks a helluva lot better though

 

The Spec-V only marginally has us RA's in one area, as from the latest Car & Driver report, the Lancer came in second only to the Cadillac ESV in 4dr competition which is huge, we took the Spec-V in handling and crap but I think we were edged out by like 1.34 secs, I have raced my Bro-in-law and I've takin him, again he dishes it right back but again only by a small margin. They are a nice car but they handle sloppy and I though my wagon had roll..........

 

it'd be interesting to see how they do in a togue, though
the Spec V DOES have and LSD.
