rrm sri problems?

I've read some of the info, but I seem to still have some problems. I unhooked the battery and tried again, now it idles fine, but the service engine soon light is still on. When I push on the gas it's uneven rev, sputters and sounds like it's going to stall. I took it around the block, sounds like its going to die and smells bad. i looked at picture installed so I'm pretty sure it's on right. what are the steps to reset the ecu and how long does it take for it to "learn" any input would be appreciated.

I have the rrm sri, i didnt disconnect the battery or anything like that. More than likely its just the sensor is a tad loose or something else is a little loose. Sorry I couldnt completely answer your question. Somebody on here should give you a more concrete answer.

thanks for the help, I took everything off and tightened again, so I don't think that can be the problem, but I'll check it again.

make sure the clamps and all te hoses are hooked up right and tight. i have an es but the sae thing happenes to me when i forgot to hook up the re breather howse that goes from the valve cover back into the intake. that or unplug the mas wire and blow on it, there could be some dirt in there.

Also make sure you didn't accidentally knock loose any vacuum lines. If all else fails, put the stock intake back in and see if it runs better. If it doesn't, then there's probably another problem that the dealership needs to look at.

big problem, put stock back on and it's doing the same thing. is the sensor that sensitive that something could have happened to it when switching it out. This is a simple bolt on process, what could have possibly gone wrong? Any idea how much this is going to cost me.

You could try cleaning your MAF filament, but be very careful, you don't want to break it. Take a cotton swab and some denatured alcohol. Dip the swap in the alcohol and gently clean the filament. Reset your ECU and try again.

pocoRA, I'm not that dumb, although this should have been a simple thing to do. One problem left, the service engine soon light is still on, any suggestions? Or am I going to have to take it to the dealership?

Have you checked the wires going into the sensor? See if one is loose. Just give each of them a light little tug. Alittle in and out movement is normal, but check for excesive amounts.
