Even Dealers are confused!!!

Check out this eBay listing for a brand new RalliArt from a Tampa Bay dealership. They list the engine as a "2.0L L4 MFI"!!! They've been in business since 1952 and don't even know the correct engine size!?

I like this quote:
"This Vehicle will be Exactly as Described."

Maybe I should win this auction and when it comes with a 2.4L I should demand that they put in an EVO 2.0L engine!!! LOL

Wow. Way to be an effective salesman. He calls it a 2004 up top, then a 2005 down in the description.

dude, when my friend was looking at the local dealership for a ralliart, they told him it had 18's on it. he said that two different times in the sales pitch, a half hour apart. salesmen for teh most part are like trained parrots, just repeating the stuff you wanna hear and trying to take you're money.

Why can't all dealerships figure out that the best salesmans are the ones that are actually interested in the cars they sell? They should require the salespeople to hang out on enthusiest boards like this one and actually learn about the car, and take an interest in it. If the salesperson isn't interested in what they're selling, how're they supposed to keep a buyer interested in it? This is especially true for sports and tuner cars.

Ok, living in the area and having just driven past the dealership, they have more than 2 left. Also, nearly everyone I know has had problem with Lokey. Just a heads up if anyone cares.

I e-mailed the guy about the two mistakes (contradiction in years, and wrong engine) and here's his reply:

"no kidding but ebay has rules that maybe you don't know about! sorry only human and i made a mistake this week! will work on getting perfect!
matt"

Didn't know eBay had rules that make you list incorrect info.

Seriously, that was the entire e-mail, word for word, and I'm very confused by it. My e-mail to him had only stated that he contridicted himself on the model year, and was listing the incorrect engine. Nothing else.

I ran into this problem when buying my OZ. When I called the dealership to check there stock they said they had 2 RAs a RA sportback and 2 ES's. Well I get there and 1 of the RAs is my beloved OZ. Even while signing my paperwork and calling my insurance company the Sales man insisted it was a RA and even tried to tell my Insurance company it was a RA. But I had to set them straight cuz I don't want tht extra insurance if I don't have the engine But none the less it says 2004 Rally Art on my bill of sale and Insurance card... but I paid OZ prices silly dealerships

I worked at one part time for a Mechanical Engineering internship. Don't get me started on dealerships.
