Rear-ended accident - Diminished Value

For those you dont know what Diminished Value is please check here http://www.ican2000.com/dvfaqs.html

My car was rear-ended on December 21, 2004. I purchased the car on August 21, 2004. I was stopped still and he hit me at about 40mph with his smaller car. I am not here to discuss my medical concerns.

As we all know repaired cars are not worth the same as they were before the loss. I know I have a claim here I just don’t know the value of it. I do not have my car back yet and hopefully everyone from the repairer to the insurer will do what is best for my car. All too often repair shops do not do what they are paid to do. I told the bodyshop that I am doing a DV claim. When I get my car back next week I will have it looked at by a Diminished value expert. Does anyone have any insight on this process?

I posted some pictures of my car here http://photobucket.com/albums/v486/moondawg1982/
