Engine hesitates when mivec, lil worried

It just started this couple days ago, it has 2500 miles on it.
It mostly happens that i notice in 2nd and 3rd gears, when im revving and it hits the 3500 rpms it has a quick hestitate then it keeps going.

Last week i was showing of some, and i redlined it hard in 1st gear, the tach hit prolly 7500 , i hope this didnt kill something in the motor. I dont have much knowledge about internal motor stuff.

Wondering if i should give the dealer a call, ideas anyone?

Granted, I'm not expert but it could be something as simple as you burning too rich/lean. Done anything like resetting your ecu to see if that helps?

Hmm....its too soon for the air filter to be changed. Try disconnecting your battery - leave it for about 30-40 minutes so all the electricity can drain out of the circuitry (sp). Then reconnect it and drive the car NORMALLY (meaning w/o goin' into high rpms) for about 25m. - this will allow the ecu to reset its functions and relearn what its supposed to do in given circumstances. Oh, and don't forget to let the car idle for a couple minutes first. Just to make sure the idle drops to the proper RPM. Try this....if it doesn't work then you may have damaged something internal.

Right, i just checked the oil, it was between the 2 holes on the stick. I used valvoline in it last time i had it changed, but hell that was only 1200 miles ago. Time to try something else.
Ill take it to wally world tonight and have it changed, if that doesnt work I will try the ecu reset.
Thanks for the advice guys

How'd you get it to 7500rpm, isn't there a fuel cutoff?

EDIT: Due to my addiction to crack, I have posted incorrect information. I promise to lay down the crack pipe for good....no, for real this time....after one last hit.

Daddymac's info is correct, not the crap I posted.

My redline is at 6500 and I believe fule cut off is 7000 (not 7500 like I said earlier).
