Unhappy Ouch! My bumper!

Ok, so I'm behind someone at a red light turning right. They start to go, so I am watching for my chance to start goin... and bam. I run right into them. Stupid taurus is fine but now I have a gap between my headlight and bumper. It still feels solid but its just a little lower than the opposite side. I'm not very happy about my car, but the lady didn't care and said to forget about it. Funny thing is I just saw a guy hit a cop doing the same thing the other day. I guess I have to take my bumper off and see what's loose or bent. Hopefully I can line everything up again.

Thanks... I think I might just need to tighten the screw that holds the bumber up to the fender... but I've never taken my bumper off so I'm not sure....

If you were going that slow, there shouldn't be any real damage. Maybe just a popped plastic clip. It's not that hard to get the front bumper off, just go slow, and make sure you get all the bolts out. Having a friend on the other side of the car to help would be nice, but it is possible to do yourself. There's a bunch of plastic clips along the bottom and a wiring connector you need to unplug, too.
