SRI question

It's about torque/low end. I put the RRM SRI in, the sound is nice and the high end HP is nice, but where did the low pull I used to have go? I'm going to drive some more and pay attention to it. If I did lose low end, then I can't have that. It's an auto and the jumpyness at low revs is something I liked about the car. I could go around corners in 2nd and it would pull really hard, it's bit more sluggish now, until it's past 3500 (mivec is a lot more noticable). So who else noticed this?

With an intake SRI or CAI you will lose throttle response which also makes it feel like power loss but in reality the power is still there just takes more umph on the pedal. Part of the reason the piggback is such a good mod is that it will help this problem. IMO anyone who stays N/A and has an intake should have the piggy back or some kind of tuning to take advatage of the added air.

That's no good I wanted the piggyback, but my dealer won't let me. So no other way to help with throttle response?

throttle response goes up, low and midrange power goes down balanced by better top end.

I'm happy with my injen in the SRI outfit. I notice a considerable gain in throttle response, more in miven than not, but considerable either way. Exhaust helps alot as well.

i hardly think your going to notice horsepower, throttle responce from a cai or a sri. just cause you here noise or a sucking sound you think its getting faster.take it to the track see if you notice any time diffrences.

Well, I noticed the difference. I don't know what everyone else is getting out of theirs, but when I put it in, my throttle response was instantly better. This is what I noticed from rolling stock to going SRI.

Too bad I didn't know that BEFORE. BTW like I said, mine is an auto, changes to anything is more noticable. In park or neutral, it revs easier. At high rpm it revs easier/pulls harder. But it seems more "sluggish" at lower RPM. Since I don't race AND I have an auto, IMO i'de rather have the low end "kick" than a few extra horses up high I may try the SRI for a couple weeks, then go back to stock and see the difference. It will only get worse in the hot summer
