Warranty ???
Warranty ???
Not sure about this?? My wife brought her 04 Ralliart down for it's first oil change. We thought it was free maintenance for 3 years??? They wanted to charge for it. Did we miss something when it was explained to us? So they don't cover oil changes?? Do we have to use them to maintain her warranty???
Thanks
Thanks
Maintenance warranty voided.
I bought a used '05 RS with 2500 miles on it. Took it to the dealer for the 3750m service and they refused to honor the 45K maintenance warranty because I wasn't the original owner. There's nothing in the documentation limiting the coverage to the original owner (as there is with the 100K driveline warranty). Called Mitsu "customer service" and they repeated that the maintenance would not be covered, without providing any documentation of exclusion. They're supposed to have sent me a letter confirming their void of the warranty, but it hasn't happened yet. I'm thinking small claims court.

Just called them. They are looking into it. At the time of sale the salesman said in plain english all oil changes etc are covered for the first 3 years. He even pulled out a graph showing all the coverage. I even asked him if they would use mobil 1 if I supplied the oil. He said no problem. Of course he doesn't work there any longer and the documentation that we have doesn't help. Waiting for a call back now. Best backed, starting to wonder here....

Sounds like poor service to me!
Dealers wonder why they have such a bad wrap. It was explained to me too (OCT '04) that the first 3 years of oil changes, air filter, cabin filter, and wipers would be FREE!!!
I've modded my car so much though, that I don't bother...

I think it was a promotion they did with the last of the '04s, just to get them off the lot. I believe it was worded so that any new '04 bought after July 1, 2004 was covered. Not any car bought before July 1st, nor any '05 model, no matter when it was purchased.

7.5K? 2004 models? Bull****!
I've got the 45-month/45,000 mile free coverage sheet right here in my hand.
It's every 5K miles or 5 months, there's check boxes for nine services. It came with the '05 Evo purchased in December. I took the car in in April - five months, 4000 miles. They denied the coverage because I wasn't the original owner.

Shouldn't it be either or?? Yeah I know she doesn't have the miles but it's been 6 months. The owners manual says 7500 or 6 Months which ever is first. This is absurd I know what they told us. Even remember asking the salesman if they would put in Mobil1 if I brought the oil in. They never even called me back yesterday. Good service huh.
