confused! help!!

hi guys..as yall know i have a 2004 ES... recently.. weve been shoppin around for a beater for winter(suv)... (5k car).. i saw a 1991 eclipse GSX turbo AWD for 4.5k w/ 50k original miles on it... but we were shopping for a winter car(for my mom) but then she offered me.. shell get me the GSX.. but we still get to keep the lancer.. but shes driving it! so should i go for a faster car... or keep the pimped but slow ES(auto)? i mean.. i dont mind the lancer being slow.. but TURBO ALL-wheel -drive(manual) is hard to resist.. i know its all gona end up with my own decision..but i wana see wut evoM has to say?!?! atleast ill be stilll in the mistu family right? pls guys.. i need ur advice!

You'll definately be part of the mitsu family. Just on the GSX/DSM branch, that's all.

Do you trust your mother driving your car?

Go with the speed. It will be a change. You get to go back to the pimped out car take something different for the winter.

I didn't know an old 1991 clunker was a hard decision.. its OLD. Why waste all the money into it.. you won't get anything out of it moneywise. It will be a moneypit. Keep the ES and turbo it.. Its a brand new car and will be more reliable.

I changed my mind. I was gonna say, go for the GSX, but you have a new car. A 15 year old turbo car is going to be nothing but problems. If you're getting it as a second car, I say go for it, as long as you can still have use of the primary lancer.

The other option is to take the 5 grand and try to trade the Lancer up for a Ralliart.

Well... The Eclipse is almost 15 years old... trust me, old cars are fun, but if this is gonna be your main car for work and whatnot...

...still, turbo and AWD... that's a fun combo there.

I think I need to see a pic of this Eclipse before I can weigh in.
