that is some very nice results there - I am not surprised that you were able to extract that sort of h.p due to the size of the motor... I know you have said that the internals are stock I am wondering however if you have advanced the timing of the cam at all to help out with the extra h.p

again job well done

^^^ to my knowledge (from a past post) he has. I guess that's shatters the thought if the ralliart could see 200whp N/A. Very impressive PR... how's the mivec?

timing = -3deg on cam (cost = 90 on MC)
ecu stock (to handle mivec only) fuel control by microthech (155 on MC)
bored fuel rail (1/4) (a 2 dollar bit, and 75 dollars for rail on MC)
injen cai (thermo wraped -2 rolls (30 each on MC-)
rrm downpipe (320 on MC)
the joe (99 on MC)
phenolic gasket (i make them)
tb phenolic gasket (i make them)
wraped header (3 rolls 30 each on MC)
valve tunning (18 (sportman pizza) on MC)
stock exahust (no resonator -i do not compromise power for looks or sound-)

knowing that you spent 900 and got to 215hp priceless....

i just needed to do that lol!!!!!

some very simple mods there but with some very impressive gains - I am curious however with the valve tuning? what did you do there as I have not heard of that term used before ( I know what valves are but not sure what you mean here) also you said something about some gaskets on the throttle body and another one? care to share some of your info with us humble wannabes

I wonder about that valve timing thing too Juan... you never told me anything about that.

And chowetime, I believe those gaskets are heat-transfer insulation to keep the engine from heating up the intake gasses before they get into the combustion chamber. More density equals better/more efficient burn (and/or more volume of gases into the cilinders?!? Juan? ).

our valves are fully adjustable.. you need a feeller gage (correct the spelling pls)
the purpose of this is to individually tune each valve as too how much does it open..
i could talk more about the phenolic gaskets but i almos got banned last time...

as of the timing.. you can do it 2 ways with the sproket or by moving the cam housing by grinding.. i made a thread some time ago...

the rest is on the mod list...

I know what you mean know with the gaskets, I had some on the 4g93 down here we refer to those as insulation blocks are about 3-4mm thick I think and the difference that they made was very good the intake temps dropped by a good 60-70% I had 1 at the T/B and the other between the intake runners and the engine

That is interesting with the valves being adjustable, it is one thing to be able to advance/retard the timing but you are only doing half the job if you reset the valves to accomidate the previous values etc

will have to have another search on that thread of yours to seein more detail with advancing - thanks for your help very much appriciate it

Hey PR mivec, it's funny you mention the thermo wrap, my friend is an electrician and ask to TW my hks spf and header. He did it to his IC piping and header on his evo. I don't know if I should, but seeing that you did... ill go ahead and do it.

With the mods you have/are planning, it would surely be an interesting thing to do... I know Juan (PR_Mivec) has me convinced, and I don't plan on modding my car that much. But I'll be working on a custom intake during the winter and I'm quite site the heat wrap will help me in that department. I'll be wrapping the exhaust header for sure, and probably the TB as well.

Oh BTW Juan, PM about the spacers... I have a question.

Yeah, that thing is not that expensive. Pardon my ignorance, but it does the same thing as a piggyback, right? And how is it programmed?
