'04 Ralliart AC Compressor Out Already??

Has anyone else had their AC compressor go out on them yet. Mine just went out last Friday. Took it to the dealership that day. It was covered under my warranty, (would have been $1300 parts/$500 labor) but I asked the girl there and she said they had a few coming back with AC problems and all have ended up being bad compressors. Just thought I'd check.

Thanks,
justin

Mine's still working, but probably doesn't see the kind of use that yours does. It gets more use in the winter up here.

That "feature" annoys me.

34k miles and the AC is run full blast 8 months out of the year here in Texas. I have to say the dealership was fast and did a great job. I had forgotten that I had free service. They did 2 years of service that I should have gotten done for free.

Wish the car had held its value as much as the warranty has though. LOL! 23k for a car and 2 years later I can't get more than 11k for it and still owe 16k. Crazy. Good thing I like this car as much as I do. I would like an evo one day though. 4 more years to go!

AC = expensive.....

Justin81 The Ra is not the best car for someone to buy and use for a couple of years and sell. Luckily I did do some research and knew going in that it wouldn't hold it's value. I was pretty much looking for a car that would last me at least 5 or more years.

yeah, kind of kicking myself for not doing some research first. But it is a great car and I like it and the warranty is awesome. I'll pay it off and keep it. Get my EVO after that!

Easy there Truth. Is there really a need to resurrect every AC thread and post the coil part number?

Seemed to still be a "heated" subject so thought it might be beneficial...c'est la vie!
