the only reason i dont want a cai is because i do a lot of highway driving and the rain can really come down hard sometimes in ontario and i dont want to suck up any water. i have heard stories of hydro lock before and really dont want it to happen to my car. can anyone with a cai let me know if this actually happens?

That would take too much work.

To the OP, I think AEM's is the best SRI out there for our cars. It has the best filter position. I wouldn't mind ditching my Injen CAI and picking up an AEM for myself at some point.

I ordered the AEM SRS and am very happy with it. It came with easy to follow pictorial instructions. Will take you 20~30minutes to install by yourself.

The filter pod sits slightly behind the battery. It also c/w bracket so that you keep your stock intake funnel. Agreed with ^^^, out of the majority of intakes I researched, the AEM pod position and set-up was the most favourable to me.

The combo of the SRI, exhaust, and the pulley is a good basic set-up for starters. You'll definately notice your car will feel nicer to drive...and way more fun!
