ok...i haven't mod my ra yet besides just a drop in k&n...but i'm seriously thinking of a rrm sri, and rrm pulley....anyone know roughly what the total hp gain will be and torque?....and i'll have mechanics do it for me...is the pulley hard to do being sideways and crap?...thx.

5-7-ish. And no, the pulley isn't hard to do. Takes about 20 minutes.

Its not hard at all, The only thing hard about it is taking off the under paneling without breaking the fastners. b/w both mods you should see about 7-9 hp and 10-12 Tq. the pulley helps alot with the tq.

be sure to keep stock dampener on it tho, too big of a decrease in the moment of inertia on the pulley is never too nice to the crankshaft.

that has been discussed thousands of times and is really all conjecture anyway. there have been no long term tests on this engine.

this engine has dual balance shafts IIRC, definitely has at least one.

this pulley replaces the stock pulley with the damper built into it, there is no UDP option to keep it.

a little off topic, but does anyone know how much the drop in k&n air filter brings to a stock RA?

I put a drop in K&N and didnt see much for power at all, no dyno or anything but the butt o meter didnt feel any. The pulley I do have and I can feel more torque in the car then before. K&N lets the car breath easier, that is about it. I notice a nice little noise when I let her run vs a regular K&N soooo air flow isnt as restricted.

if you spend a little more youll get the same affect from an sri . im sure nobody would spend money to get a k&n filter dynoed , unless it was backed with turbo

i dont think so, mitsu is very picky with warrenty, but they would have to find you changed it first

If you can swing it, get the Piggyback with the sri and the pully othewize you really arn't going to notice much. Not much is worse the dropping $300 and not seeing the difference. Or if you can't do both, just get the piggyback.

What is the advantage of having the piggy back with the under pulley? Sorry if this is a no brainer to some, I'm just not 100% on the function of the piggy back.
