Blown up muffler
I thought the RRM magnaflow was a chambered muffler
I didn't do the research, just assumed. that would explain why mine sounds deeper at idle and is deeper yet quieter under WOT than what I have heard in sound clips of RRM's axleback.
that's what I was talking about otter, the filler is what really matters. the actual tube, in a free flow muffler, is always a simple perforated pipe. in a chambered muffler there is a whole lot more to the design, I would imagine you could design one to take care of almost all your high frequency noise even without filler

Yeah, it's a free flow, basically a resonator in an oval housing. This weekend I'm going to try to take a picture of the interior, you can see just how bad my baffling has deteriorated.
after 100k+ I would imagine it's going to be pretty bad
does the pipe curve? mine is the offset type, you can't see straight through it but you can tell it just curves to the other side.
I'm not surprised your muffler failed after 100k, especially up north. if you recall the ebay cherry bomb resonator I bought burned out less than a month later (don't remember exactly how long, but I am sure it was less than a month) now that's some low quality ****

The one I had on my GSX was LOUD. The pipe was perforated and wrapped in fiberglass, but you could stick your arm straight through it.
My neighbors told me they could hear me coming from over half a mile away, and could hear me shift into 5th as I pulled away on a local highway three miles south of here.
That may have been a bit too loud.

I use an old Apexi World Sport I cat-back with an RRE 3-inch DP and my car is extremely quiet. Bit of a resonance at 3000rpm but it sounds good so I don't mind.

I did a temporary ****ty welding job using a cheap oxy/mapp kit from Home Depot. The kit was just barely up to the job, since it lacked the power to get the metal truly hot enough. But, it was enough to seal it back up, so the muffler can go back onto the car before my next autocross (next weekend.) It just has to last for a couple weeks as I'm pretty sure I've got another used one to buy.
