depends on age, if you are young, should put the car under your parents' name and drive it. of course, full coverage especially if you are a first timer

yeah i know, its worth it with how many uninsured drunk people drive around here, which is actually how i lost my last lancer.

But I digress, back to his original question, get the full coverage for any frist time driver, i thinks the statistic is that more than 50% of first time drivers have some form of collision/accident within the first year of driving, and i'd rather be safe than sorry.

shop around...call and get price quotes from different insurance company. I highly recommend getting full coverage and having your insurance in place (if you haven't already) before you drive your nice car

There's nothing wrong with progressive. Every company charges different rates. It's impossible to say one company will be cheaper than another, because each person lives in a different area, different gender, different age, different coverage level, different discounts, etc.

Also, $800 every 6 months for full coverage is a decent price, IMO. If you don't think so, try moving to a no-fault state, then you'll learn what it's really like to get reamed up the *** with insurance rates.
