Swap 6G75 SOHC 3.8L MIVEC

This was just a random thaught. And probably a noob question.

What if we could swap the 4g69 out for the 6g75? Pros and cons? Whats your opinions? I think it would not be practical but if u were bored had the time and money might be a fun project. We would get a 6cyl mivec, 6pd trans and 260hp.

Cost some serious $$$.

Would be fun on the highway but that's it. I have a feeling it would plow like a tractor in the turns.

What is the weight difference between the powerplants, transmissions?

For the price why not just do some forced induction and a standalone?

If I were to theoretically drop in a V6, it would be a 6A13TT. I think that would be damn near unstoppable with twin E316G's on the highway.

Ok after seeing this and becoming abit curious this is what I found out the weight differences between the endevour 4cy and 6cy is 265 lbs , the galant differences are 247 lbs and the differences of the eclipse not the spyders are 183 lbs now if you factor it all in that's a range of 183 lbs-265lbs added to the front end of the ralliart now you could easily move the battery to the trunk and take 30lbs off that, remove washer fluid 8lbs, front rollers about 10 lbs (guessing) so there's about 50lbs off the front ..I have a cf hood so let's throw that in there what 15lbs more off total about 65lbs from the lowest estimate of 183lbs so only a gain of 118 lbs.. Now that doesn't seem to bad considering the 100 hp bump .....now all of these estimates are rough at best I'm just trying to stir the pot a little so don't bash, again it's all rough...

Can you find the difference between the 6G75 and 6A13TT? I still think that it would be a better swap candidate.

3.5l vs. 2.5l tt But the turbos are tiny, I believe the 6a13tt puts out around 260hp

part of the reason to due the swap is because the 6g75 is based around almost the same motor mounting system. it just so happends to be the newer v6 and its bad A$$

I'm a member of the club4g.org site and they "say" a stock gt can do flat 14s and a header up grade gives 40hp which is huge if true..I have hesitated to call bs because I own a lancer and their better than me because they have a 6 but w/e.

40hp will never come from a header maby 20 at best but proly more liek 12-15.
