ok....so there's a bulb in there. got it out but i'm not sure how remove it fully to replace it with the HID

I wish I could help you out but the hids are still on my list of wants, but what brand did you get?

ok...can someone confirm this....

as seen in the pic, the bulb is held in by a spring. wires run from the bulb through a grommet and to the outside connector. None of this is needed when using HID's, right? so that whole assembly can be removed and the hid inserted in it's place with the HID wires running through the grommet....?

lanzer....the brand of hids are o-nex...they were included with the projectors.

completely wrong.

the lights are wired setup for a h7 kit which im assuming the kit was designed for. if you remove that whole wire setup you wont be able to connect the housing into your oem plug which is for a 9007 bulb. take the connector and separate it from the bulb



this is what a unconnected h7 bulb looks like


then after that follow my instructions that i said w/ the connectors

you're going to have to cut a hole in the rubber cover behind the bulb to run the wires through to the ballast

Just did it....that totally cleared it up, thanks. I didn't wanna pull too hard and the black part and break anything but I can't believe how easy it was. I never used this type before. thanks a lot.
