Is it a manual? Also, how much are you looking to get for it?

So a guy in town owns a 2001 Mirage LS. The 2 door model. He seemed interested in trading his mirage for my 3g Eclipse. The only thing I could think of was the possibility of making a 4g69 mirage! Then maybe using it in RallyX. LOL

Had me daydreaming about creating a Mirage Ralliart all day. hahahaha

I've always liked the mirage coupe, but they never existed in Canada. We don't have raiders either, and the Evo didn't show up until 2008.

LOL You are correct. Swap the front fenders, bumpers, hood, side skirts, and add rear fender flares and you have an Evo 5 look alike. Then you can swap right in and Evo engine and drivetrain, the rear diff requires some work and youll have to use ralliart or evo control arms in the back but it can be done, and has been done a few times on this site.

MMCflash and EvoScan came in the mail today. Im going to setup my laptop with the software today then hopefully Brent and I cant try the new reflash method this afternoon.

I guess no one watched the Valentine's day video I posted on the previous page or this topic would be discussed with a different tone, more when than if and how...

A Mitsubishi Mirage by any other name is still as sweet.

LMAO mitsubishi is silly with the naming of their cars between countries.

@2006_RA I just watched the video from V-day with the colt. OMG... That thing is amazing. If I end up owning a Mirage some day I would love to make it AWD. But I would kill myself with that much power i think LMAO!!!

those are so hard to find, let alone in good shape...if I want a restoration project, it'll be a 1970 monte carlo.

PS that colt is epic...sounds like straight cut dog gears...I love that sound.

Just wanted to share this here. I remembered talking to a guy once who said that for a model to get the "Ralliart" badge it simply had to have 10% better horsepower than the trim a step below it. When I got to thinking about it though that is not always the case. So I did some research today. Here is what I found.

For us OG Ralliart-ists we have a 35% power increase over the OZ-Rally.
For the Galant RA they have a 10% increase over the Sport Edition.
For the Colt RA it received a 23% increase.
And for the newer Lancer Ralliarts they received a whopping 56% increase!

And in every case the Ralliart model has had a stiffer, sportier suspension, upholstery package, and in some cases bigger wheels. And in the case of the Colt RA it even had the body stitch welded! Which i know that plays into the stiffer suspension but it seemed pretty significant when most got strut bars or bolt on suspension upgrades...

Anyway just figured Id share. I thought that was some pretty interesting info.

so if I made 216whp on 6.5psi, assuming stock would be roughly 140 (-15% from 168), then that's like 11.6hp per psi...so lets say on average it makes 10hp per 1psi, then I'm making somewhere in the ball park of 271whp. that's like 92% increase over stock. That's what the 1g RA should have been, lol
