Hello everyone! I am out of luck and searched everywhere for help and I feel as if this is the best place to get some questions answered and bring back some life to my car. I have a 2004 lancer raliart 2.4L manual, and it seems to pop out of reverse every single time. The clutch is relatively new and it shifts through all other gears great, so I'm left to believe that it may be the reverse synchros or gears. I'm looking for parts to either rebuild the transmission or an entire new transmission and I've exhausted my options. Not sure if any evo 8 transmission could work, or any other model? Any ideas of where to find parts? Or if another models parts may work?

I had the same issue with my Grey Ralliart as well. My reverse gear would pop out as well and make a grinding sound when engaged. I had my transmission taken apart and the reverse gear was completely stripped. A new reverse gear was around $300 but labour was brutal, around 10 to 12 hours to take it apart and fixed.

any idea where you located the parts? Or what shop you took it to?

I took my car to a transmission specialist, Boss Automotive in Richmond. Parts were from a dealership, according to the shop.

I believe the transmission is also used on the regular 02-06 manual Lancer, 4g69 manual Eclipse, and 4 cylinder 3G manual Eclipse. From what recall, the older Lancers have a different bellhousing.
