Hey All,

I'm a new member here and am actually going to pick myself up a Ralliart this weekend (either black or grey, not too sure yet).

Anyway, I've been searching around for a bodykit (I noticed all the talk about alcolade's kits for the past month, but I think I want something else not an evo conversion) I got to talking with the guys at bodykits.org about their DAMD replica kit (I know, I know fast and the furious..... ugh) anyway they were saying that they wanted to make this kit for the 04's and that if they had enough pre-orders they would start it asap. I've just got a few questions for everyone...

1) Does anyone know anything about these guys, fitment, quality, etc.?
2) Does anyone know of anyone else looking to make this kit?

Wait for Wings West's kit. It drops in the Summer. Bomex will probably have one soon as well...seeing as how our car is technically the same as its JDM equivalent.

DAMD - makes some of the nicest kits you can get. They make a really nice classy kit for the mr2 spyder (my old car) which a few people had and it looked great...they are known for quality and a few of their kits are even offered in metal so it will be a direct replacement for the factory part so it won't be a cheaper made material that is not as safe. I say if they have a kit and the price is nice and the kit looks good do for it...

funny though I did not know they made the kit in 2f2f ....they normally make better stuff than that (tend to be not as trendy also..more classy stuff).

 

I wasn't knocking DAMD's kits, they do good work....just more of a Bomex guy myself. But hey, to each his own.

I didn't really think you were, I just wanted people to know that they make some nice stuff also...not just the 2f2f crowd so that people don't think their a company like erebuni or something...I kinda like bomex myself...depends on the kit and car I guess..LOL

 

wings west supposedly, Bomex I don't know about ...And I couldn't find anything on the japanese DAMD page (translated with babelfish) saying anything about a kit for our car which is called the "run sir" over there...oh well...

we'll see it if it's made!

on a related note though ...we really got ripped off with options for our car...the Japanese models offer all wheel drive on a couple models and HID stock plus navigation systems and a lot of other nice stuff (and i know what you are thinking but it definitely was the rallairt and not the EVO on the page I looked at...it specifically stated so) which I can't recall even getting offered. I wonder why they do that kinda crap here...you would think they would make more money if they offered it...

 

Nah, the Bomex kit is just a rumor that I apparently started...LOL..

Thinking that it's basically the same as the JDM RA, who knows, though.

 

I think the the japanese get all that stuff and the americans dont because you nuked them? just a hunch.

 

What does everyone think about the Accolade GT body kit for the RA?

 

seems like a lot of people on this board seem to think its ricey.. i don't.. i'm planning on buying it if no better kits come out this summer

 

it's a fine kit. It's all about what you want your car to look like in the end. If you like it, who cares what anyone else thinks on this board?

 

the question is what do you think of the kit? If you are worried about what others think too much you probably are unsure of whether you like it or not, or you are trying to impress others...go with what you like if your going to get one.
