2004 Lancer Ralliart

Hi, This is my first post here and just looking for some information. for the last couple of month's i've been debating on buying a nissan spec-v or a mazda3. just by chance I saw a lancer ralliart and decided to check it out. well it got my attention and im looking to purchase one. Im on a couple other forums (mazda3forum.com and b15sentra.net) and they seem to have alot of info on problems, price's, thoughts/concerns. This seems to be the only forum i'v found thats not completely evo. Just wondering if you guy/girls can direct me to more information found on this site or other fourms like reviews/problems recalls etc. doesnt seem to be that much info on them on the net, everything is about the base model or the evo.

Thanks

use the search to find out things about the ralliart. All those topics have been discussed already.

Well man, you are in the right place. If you look around a little in here you will see that all your questions have been discussed. I would say test drive all of them as they are all comparable in performance. You will see that the RA would be MUCH better performing with better tires. As far as recalls, I dont know of any yet, and you will see that most of the people that bought RA's are pretty happy with the desicion. Run some searches and have a good time. Dont hesitate to ask questions.
Peace.

Hey, I was seriously looking at a SpecV but I read this article and it changed my mind.

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ash/index.html
That, and I recieved **** poor service from the used nissan dealer down the street.

Probably the best thing I like about the ralliart, is I see lots of SpecVs running around and I've even seen some Mazda 3s, but I've never seen another ralliart other than my own. If you're after a cool, comfortable ride that no one else has. Look no further. I love my ralliart.

insomniac_evo has one of the better signatures on here. I cant tell you how annoying it is to see people massacre the word Ralliart like they do...lol!

Ok, Well i've been doing some ready and It seems they fixed the rust issue or It's still to new for canada to say if mitsu has problems with rust. the other question I had was with tunning parts. scince the ralliart parts are different from the other lancer models with most of the bolt-ons etc.. ie I/h/e and then engine internals be hard to come by or have to be custom built? I see a couple of companys have CAI and Exhoust is not a problem but for headers etc... is that custom or just use the parts from the sister car that this engine is in. and by the way what is the engine code and which other cars have it? and is it worth it for companys to build parts if this might be the only year for this car?

sorry got one more question :/ . Whens the new models coming out and is there any future changes in the lancer seires? I've been trying to find info but not to much is found. the most i can gather is that the lancer will become a neon? and hatchback only?

I believe this was the year of the new models. They all got a facelift (lancers anyway and galants). The parts will come in time. It is a new car still so be patient. The only lancer I know of that didn't seem to change much was the EVO 8 for 2004 from what I understand.

the headers are already equal length and the exhaust is tuned from the factory (if you get the sedan, you get 2hp, 2lb/ft more than the sportback) so not much gains there

I may not even get a new exhaust for mine....I'll probably do CAI, maybe an ECU upgrade and an Apexi SAFC, and call it a day.

Oh, and gauges. Lots of them.

Rocketman, as far as rust goes, that's why there's the corrosion warantee, which is (I believe) 5 years/unlimited km. As long as you don't put on a bodykit or anything, it's waranteeable to not corrode.

I love the Ralliart, I got to take a spin in one, and I just may (once it's fixed) be selling my Talon for one. It's good times, I tells ya.

SAFC2.....

Gauges? I dunno...I just see that all the underpowered cars have them, so why not, right?
