Accolade - Evo8 Conversion Bodykit

Hello

I am 16 and i live in Canada so i cant get an evo 8 so i am going to buy a lancer ralliart in the next month. I like the look of the evo 8 but i hate the look of the ralliart (hate the stock look expecially the grill uglyest thing ever!) so i am going to get a bodykit with it. I am thinking about getting the Accolade evo 8 conversion body kit ( http://body-kit.com/raevo8.html ) I want to know if any one has this bodykit and i mainly want to know how much it is? Is it worth it? Also is it good, fitting, quality, etc.

Please Help Me!

Matt

Why would you get a car if you hate the look of it? Wouldn't it be better to just find a car with comparable specs that you liked the looks of? Just a thought.

Actually, I asked MitsuRider03 about this and he said that the Accolade kit actually conforms and fits to the front bumper support beam that allowed the Lancers to get into Canada (the EVO doesn't have this cuz, from what I've been told, the intercooler is located where the support beam is supposed to be located). That's how Accolade made it. Atleast from what I've been told.

If I end up with a Lancer Ralliart, I plan to get that EVO 8 kit. It's a really nice kit. I'm with Red Dragon in that I would replace the stock bumper with an EVO 8 kit. I don't think the Ralliart stock look is ugly or anything... it's just not... exciting. It says "econosedan", not "Ralliart tuned grocery getter that has enough guts down low to itch the butt dyno econosedan". But hey, it's not as bad as an Aztek! Or 2002 Toyota Echo sedan!

How will the evo 8 be allowed in 1-2 years unless they lower the bumper crash testing laws?

They should let you pass, since evo 7 are not in the "black list". Only mitsu evos from 2002 to 2004 are not allow. So 2001 and earlier evos are allow to be import to here. But make sure its a left wheeler, because if its right side driver side, they might not let you in...

I just heard why i can't bring the car here. The Evo 7 with the right hand drive is not allowed because it is right hand drive. I just talked to a guy who dring right hand cars over here. He said you have to wait 15 years from the manufactured release date to bring the car over. You need 15 years because at that point the car is considered vintage and can be broguht over as a piece of your collection and insured that way. But on the same note I just spoke to a contact in London who said he was succesful at sending and delivering into Canada an Evo 6 with a right hand steering wheel so I will keep talking to this guy and see how and what he clasified the car as to get it through the border. I will keep you posted as I hear stuff.
