"initial D wannabe"?
sucks though.. i think you should have try to use the regular brake -joe |
Well, I kinda feel for the deer, because if it's a dent you can pop, that deer isn't dead, but it could have serious internal injury, and could be suffering for however long it lives.
E-brake was probably not the best idea, as you may have been able to stop and avoid all damage, and I'm betting this is the case if you had time to actually turn your lights off. Regardless, door damage is much easier to fix than extensive front end damage, and as long as you avoid a hit to the rear fenders, things should be pretty simple. |
ebrake is the best choice but!, i turned my lights off and it moved so i dint hit my brakes untill it put its head down, so a last minuit" oh ****" i tried swinging my car around it.

btw, im from berlin. NB/Meridan area
|
why did you turn the lights off.....i've never heard of doing that.

Evidently the deer are disoriented by the headlights and that's why they just stay there frozen.
Has anyone ever tried those little things that attach to the car and supposedly make a noise to scare the deer away? I used to see them upstate but know nothing about whether they work. Here are some electronic ones I found: http://www.safehomeproducts.com/SHP2...122&menupage=5 These are the ones I remember: http://www.sav-a-life.com/Sales.htm |
Ouch man, sorry to hear about that. Deer are a real nuisance here as well so I know how you feel. A guy at work here was driving down the highway once and a deer popped out of some bush in the ditch and bolted on the highway but instead of the guy hitting the deer, the deer ran square into the side of the truck, lol. Don't hear about that happening too often.
